Shoreline Cushion 2
A stunning piece by Debbie Rudolph drawing inspiration from the Cornish Coastline to create this amazing hand woven cushion. A real statement piece to treasure. This cushion was handwoven by Debbie in her studio in Cornwall on her 40 year old loom. The cushion colours are based on what I consider to be the colours of the Cornish shoreline.
After graduating from the Fashion and Textile Degree at Central St Martins London, she was awarded the TEXPRINT Innovation in Textiles Scholarship. Texprint promotes the UK’s most talented textile design graduates with the support of industry professionals worldwide.
Based in London, Debbie worked as a freelance Woven Textile Designer and then went on to train as a Secondary School teacher, she taught Art and Design and Textiles in London for 10 years before relocating to Cornwall.
During this period she was awarded winner of the ‘Teacher Project’ award by The University of the Arts London, which was presented to her by the Major of London and the Installation Artist Cornelia Parker.
After relocating to Cornwall, Debbie has continued her textile work and is now a member of The Cornwall Craft Association and sells her textile items through private sales and galleries.
