One Arm Potter - Mugs

Gary lost the use of his right arm following a motorbike accident in 2003. A few years ago he was given the opportunity to try making pottery, he then spent a couple of years learning how to make and throw. It certainly wasn’t easy and there was much frustration but Gary persevered and now has his own home studio in Hayle, Cornwall.

From turning on the wheel through to glazing and firing, it is all done using only Gary’s left hand, making each piece unique, giving it even more individuality and personality.
